Although he’s appeared the show in the past, Sen. John McCain hasn’t swung by “The Daily Show” in a while. When McCain’s daughter, Meghan, stopped by recently, Stewart even had to give her a note to pass on to her dad, telling him how much he missed the Arizona senator.
Well, when “The Daily Show” doesn’t get what it wants, it takes a different route: puppets (see the show’s muppet parody of RNC Chairman Michael Steele).
A puppet version of McCain showed up on Wednesday’s program, and the fake McCain gave Stewart a thorough tongue-lashing.
